Better Strangers

I have long considered adding a weekly “Shakespearean insult” to this blog’s posts. So, last week, when several friends sent me one of the many Shakespeare insult memes that proliferate on the internet, I decided to heed the reminder and kick off a Shakespeare-insult-a-week feature to run every Monday (what better day to be equipped with a potent insult?). If it worked for Shakespeare, maybe it will work for you.

So here is this week’s Monday Insult–probably my favorite–from Orlando in As You Like It:

I do desire we may be better strangers (As You Like It, III.2.248).

Try it out on someone today.
